3 Flute Square End Mill

With a larger gullet, 3 flute end mills better evacuate chips than 2 flute end mills. This is important, especially with deep cuts and higher feed rates. With more cutting edges and a balanced cut, these cutters are less prone to chatter and have a smoother surface finish compared to a 2-flute end mill.

In addition to solid carbide, this offering is also available in a variety of coated geometries and sizes to meet your exact machining needs. Explore long reach, ball nose, corner radius, micro, and for aluminum options with 30deg helix styles in diameters as small as.0010" - 1" and metric 1mm – 25mm.

Designed for chamfering and milling applications, this solid carbide, fully stocked, 3 flute square end mill features a 90deg included angle and is offered in uncoated or AlTiN coated for added lubricity. Its helix is increased for rigidity and improved wall finish.

This 1/8 inch shank fish-tail (square tip) end mill is optimized for machining hard materials such as ebony, hickory, and other dense hardwoods. The re-designed geometry is more rigid with improved edge strength and a closed-form flute profile, resulting in reduced chatter and one of the longest tool lives in the industry.
